Hi guys,

Is there a way to set up the system so that when you start the process to import a file into an open file, the system will by default point to the location of the file you are importing into rather than the system default report location?

JB

Hi John

I have tried to replicate the issue you have raised in SimplyPats V7.0.4 without success, if possible can you give a little more detail so I can follow your exact steps.

There are a few options when it comes to importing data into SimplyPats:

File > Import File
Tools > Import and Update
Save Selected

From what you have mentioned I presumed that you were using the File > Import File option?

This requires that the current file you have open is the one that you want to import data into, when you then choose File > Import File SimplyPats will prompt you to choose the file that you want to import from. In both cases (i.e. when you open the original file and the one that you are importing from) SimplyPats should set the “File Open” path to the default path set under the Settings > System Settings > Data Tab.

In SimplyPats Version 7, unless change by the user the default data path is set to C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\RSR Systems\SimplyPats7\Data

As mentioned above John, if you give us a step by step walkthrough we will investigate further.

Regards Carl
