Appliance Description Recording Make and Model Independently

2 New fields have been added to SimplyPats 7 to independently record the Make and Model of an appliance.



You can of course store the all the details of the appliance in the Appliance Description field. E.g. REFRIGERATOR ZANUSSI ZRB35212WA. (as has always been the case in SimplyPats)

However if you wanted to group or sort all your ZANUSSI appliances then this would not be possible with the information stored in the one field.

Adding Make and Model to SimplyPats now allows those users that wish to categorise the appliance description by manufacturer and / or model.

The Make and Model information is not currently printed separately on any printed reports however the information in the Appliance Description, Make and Model fields will be joined together so that it appears as one element in the Appliance Description field on the reports.

Downloading PAT Testers and Make And Model

If you are using a downloading PAT test machine that has notes fields that you can complete having tested an item, you can now assign these notes fields to make and model.



Manual Data Entry and Make And Model

Make and Model can also now be entered on the Manual Entry Screen for those users that do not use a downloading PAT test machine.

Other Changes Regarding Make And Model

Other changes have been made to SimplyPats 7.0.4 to allow you to Spell Check the new make and model fields. You can also use your own abbreviations to replace abbreviations with full words in the Make and Model fields. e.g. MR being replaced with MORPHY RICHARDS. In addition the Make and Model fields have been added to the Bulk Replace and Bulk Replace a selction of tests screens to allow you to bulk replace various Makes and Models with alternatives.
