Will you be adding the new version 4 labels from patlabel.co.uk as the ones already shown on your templates are of a different format to theres. Weve been printing on there blank labels through your program for quite some time but have now had to revert back to writing them out by hand.

Hi Tony

SimplyPats Version 7 will include templates based on the original 4th Edition Plug Top Labels, we are still waiting for examples of the new design, but will include these when possible in an update to the software.

We can also release these as a custom report download option for SimplyPats Version 6 users, but as mentioned we are still waiting to get our hands on the new design.

Regards Carl

Hi oxtonyxo

We have now received the Label Stock and I can start looking at laying out a template or two for the new designs.

We will update this forum post with more information with regards to the availability of the new PAT Label Templates for SimplyPats Version 7.

We do not know if they will be made available for SimplyPats Version 6 as of yet, but will let you know when we have the templates ready to include with SimplyPats Version 7.

Hi Michael / Tony

I have sent you both an email with the Template attached.

I have noticed a slight difference in spacing when printing on Labels and actually choosing Label as type of paper via the print prefs screen as opposed to printing on A4 paper and leaving the print settings as standard.

I would still recommend that you do a test run on plain A4 paper prior to using the label stock.

Regards Carl

Hi guys,
I've just received my order of the 2013 4th Edition AOK Pass Plug Top Labels (37mm by 25mm) 49 to A4 Sheet.

Stupid me had my company details printed in the top field.
Is there any chance you could remove the barcode from the template?
Pretty please :)

Hi Rich

I have sent you a Custom PAT Label Template with the changes you mentioned.

Save the attached file into your SimplyPats V7 Reports folder…

• Run SimplyPats
• On the File Menu click SETTINGS and choose SYSTEM SETTINGS
• On the GENERAL Tab click “Open SimplyPats App Data Folder” Button
• Now open the REPORTS folder and save the attached file in there

Select it from the list on the Print Labels screen and print out a full sheet on standard A4 paper before you try printing on the labels to see if they line up (Put the A4 sheet over the Label sheet and hold up to the window/light)

Give me a call if you need help.

Hi BarryBlu

I would normally say everything is possible however having had a look at the TIS 1612 labels there are a couple of issues we can see.

1) They are not on an A4 sheet and whilst not a show stopper it makes it a bit more difficult to code.

2) They are rotated through 90 degrees when presented in portrait, which means they either have to be fed in landscape or the printing would have to be rotated (not easy!)

3) Not sure what paper type and backing paper these have as to whether they would go through a laser printer ok? You may have an inkjet. Either way at first glance they do not look printer compatible?

Have you already purchased these labels? (or did they come as part of a pat tester kit?)

The first thing would be for us to get hold of a couple of sheets and see what can be done.

Realistically an easier solution would to be to buy some labels on A4 stock such as those produced by PatLable or similar.

Regards, Richard

Thank you for your reply Richard, I have used the labels for a couple of years now. it sounds like I may as well go for the A4 sheeted ones.
regards Barry

No Problems Barry

I think you will find the A4 sheet ones easier to use, they might even be a bit cheaper.

Let us know if you get any issues, always a good idea to print a test run on a piece of plain paper and hold it up to a sheet of labels against the light of a window to make sure they align correctly (saves wasting any sheets of labels).

Dependant on the stock you buy we will make sure there are templates for SimplyPats to use them.

Regards, Richard.
