Warning Messages During Printing on the Print Results Screen

This has been added to the next SimplyPats update 7.0.9 due later in 2016

You may receive a “Large Report Warning” or “Insufficient Memory” Warning Message during the Print Process. This is normally associated with but not limited to the “One Appliance Per Page” Report when dealing with a large number of Appliances.

The “One Appliance Per Page” Report contains a lot of information on a single A4 document. If you are using a company Logo and signature or any other images on your Reports, these may also be rendered onto each page.

PC Memory can quickly be consumed if using large images and/or generating a large number of pages.

Available Memory (RAM) in your PC and the size of any Logo/Signature Files used on your PAT Reports will have an effect on performance during the Print Preview process as this is where all Reports get rendered.

In order to alert users of possible issues, we have added a Memory Status Bar at the bottom left of the Print Preview Screen (see image below), this shows the Maximum Current Available Memory and the amount the current Report has used.

The Maximum Current Available Memory is pre-set by SimplyPats to 600Mb regardless of the PC System used. If SimplyPats is unable to complete the Print Job we would recommend that you contact support.
