When entering test data manually into the SimplyPats Version 7 (Specifically SimplyPats Version 7 manual Edition), the data is not saved to disk until you save the file.

If you forget to save the data and your PC crashes, or restarts because of a windows update or antivirus update without you having saved your data, it was possible to lose the records and therefore data you had entered.

In SimplyPats V7.0.7 we have added an automatic backup feature which adds any Manual entry tests to a separate backup log file. In the situation where your PC has either crashed or restarted and you had not managed to save your work, it is possible for us to recover your lost data from the log file.

Periodically when you start SimplyPats you will be notified that your log file has been backed up. This is to ensure that in addition to the last 2,000 manually entered tests which are logged, your previous log files are also backed up.

Depending on Operating System, the Manual Entry Backup Log file is stored in the folder C:\Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\AppData\Local\RSR Systems\SimplyPats7\Backup
