Re-installing / Licencing SimplyPats Version 6 to a new computer
********** Windows 10 - Windows 8 / 8.1 Users - Please Read **********
Windows 10, (including Windows 8.1 and 8)
Support for SimplyPats Version 6 officially ended on 31st May 2014. Development for the SimplyPats product in general switched over to Version 7 prior to the release of Windows 8, therefore support for Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10 are only available in SimplyPats Version 7.
Please note that Licence Numbers generated by SimplyPats Version 6 must contain 24 characters. If you submit a Licence Number of less than 24 characters we cannot generate a Licence Key.

If you need to install your previously licenced SimplyPats Version 6 software on a new PC or transfer the Licence to a new PC, please follow the instructions below.
Generally Serial Numbers for SimplyPats Version 6 can only be Licenced once online. If you receive an error “Not a Valid Serial Number” when trying to Licence your SimplyPats software online, this is more than likely due to the fact that the software has already been licenced to a PC, and therefore the Serial Number is no longer available to licence.
If you are installing your SimplyPats software on a different PC to the one you originally installed and licenced it on, you will now need to request a Licence Key manually via email.
We would recommend that the PC you are trying to Licence the SimplyPats Version 6 software to has internet and access to email as this will make the whole process much easier.
Please follow the steps below to request a new Licence Key.
2.. Run SimplyPats Version 6.
3.. Close the Welcome Screen so you can see the SimplyPats main screen, SimplyPats – [Untitled] should be displayed in the top left corner.
4.. On the File Menu click the word Help and choose Licence SimplyPats
You should now see the Licence Screen which will be displaying the current Licence Number, this is the number you need to send to support in order for them to return your Licence Key which needs to be entered in the empty field below the Licence Number field.
6.. Start a new email message and address it to support @ simplypats .co .uk (without spaces).
7.. In the subject enter SimplyPats V6 Licence.
8.. Right Click in the Body (Message Area) of the email and choose Paste, you should now see the Licence Number. Also if you have not contacted us previously to inform us that you require a new Licence Key, please include your SimplyPats V6 Serial Number in the email. Your Licence Key will be delayed if this is not included.
9.. Send the email and wait for your new Licence Key to be sent back to you.
10.. Once you receive an email back, enter the Licence Key into the Licence Key field on the Licence SimplyPats Screen (File Menu > Help > Licence SimplyPats) and press Ok.
Close SimplyPats down and restart to save the changes.
Please be aware that if you are requesting a new Licence Key outside of our usual Business Hours, there may be a delay of up to 24hrs.
The Licence Screen can be closed down while you wait for your Licence Key to be returned to you.
You may also notice that the Licence Number changes each time you open the Licence SimplyPats Screen, this is completely normal, however the Licence Key sent back to you will still work on that computer regardless of Licence Number displayed.
