We had a request for a delete button on the Create Invoice Screen to remove selected charges. At the moment you cannot individually delete the extra charges once they have been added and the repairs cannot be removed.

Another request was made to allow the user to change the quantity of tests to 0 effectively deleting it from the invoice.

The invoice is calculated from the data so work will need to be done to change this process but hopefully this feature will be available in the next version of SimplyPats.

Any comments or feedback would be appreciated.

Regards,
Lorna

Sometimes I quote for a fixed number of tests with tests over this being charged per test.
At the moment I create an "extra charge" for the fixed number of tests and reduce this number of tests from "Portable Appliance" quantity in the invoice.
I don't know if this could be made more straight forward?

On occaision I have charged for repairs then discovered (before billing the customer) that these should have been included in the test fee so being able to remove these on the invoice page would be good.

Hi Rich

I have spent the last few days rewriting the Invoicing screen in SimplyPats as over the last 10 years the code has got very complicated as more and more additions have been made.

This has now been included, you can delete any of the repairs, charges or extra charges that make up the invoice individually (see the trash can on the right of each line) You can also leave the lines and edit the quantity to even to zero if required.

I will look at the first part of your post as this has been raised before, I beleive it is common way of charging for PAt testing.

excellent job folks... that makes it a little easier for me.. But a custom user defined "default" to make SPS count the first X tests as a fixed price and anything over and above at a per test value would be the dawgs danglies

Hi Rich and Allan

Having rewritten the invoicing calculations I have managed to add a couple of advanced schemes based on the volume of PAT tests.

I am hoping that this will address the issues at hand:

Volume Discount Scheme A

Where you want to charge a fixed price for the first x items and charge remaining items at y per item

Volume Discount Scheme B

Where you want to charge different rates dependant on the quantity of items e.g. first n items at price 1, next n items at price 2, next n items at price 3 and so on.

The following voulme settings screen will be available from the Invoice Screen

Hope this will be useful to you both and any other Simplypats users that wish to invoice in a similar way.

Regards, richard.
