Hi Guys,

I have set up a "Mad May" discount for brand new customers only... haha.. BUT when I enter the discount, with the "per test only" box unticked... the discount STILL only applies to the per test aspect of the invoice and not the total invoice.

I have tried ticking the per test box... but that gives the same result.

Regards,

Allan

Hi Allan

I am able to replicate the issue you have described and will add it to our "to do" board. Many thanks for pointing this out, we will update this post when we have more information.

Regards Carl

Hi Allan

I have just had a look at this and while it is working as I originally intended, I think it's wrong!

The discount applies to the test charges and repairs, if the discount tests only is ticked then only the tests were discounted. Any extra charges were not discounted. At the time... 2001 when Invoicing was added to SimplyPats we thought this was logical.....

Long and short of it is that we have decided that you are right and it is much more logical that when you add a discount it applies to all the test charges, repairs and extra charges.

I have now applied this change to SimplyPats Version 7.0.3 and I understand from Carl that you have upgraded from SimplyPats to 6 to Version 7. We will get you a beta version out so that you can use the updated invoicing screen.

Incidentally, Carl informed me that we are running a "Mad March" discount for some customers ;)

Regards, Richard.
