Hi all

I am currently building a database with data from Megger PAT machines but I also have a considerable store of information in an older Seaward PatGuard Plus database. Is there any way I can import this information (a .mdb file) into SimplyPats?

Many thanks

Hi Phill

Apologies in the delay responding to your post, however we have lost our broadband telephone line in our office today (engineer comming tomorrow I hope!)

Regarding converting your data, there are no built in functions to import databases from other manufacturers into SimplyPats, however over the years we have written several conversion programs to convert data from different manufacturers databases.

If you want to send an example file (if it's reasonably small) to our support email address I will check if it is a type we have converted before, and if not whether we can write a routine to convert it for you. If it is a large file we can (once our internet is back on line) use remote access to grab the file from you.

Regards, Richard.

Thanks Richard

It's only 9.5 MB, I'll send you a Dropbox link.

Hi Phill

Yes, got the file thanks. Just having a look at it. The database is a variation on one of the types we have seen before and so I should be able to convert it. Im not sure how long this will take me but will try and progress it will post back here when I have a result.

Regards, Richard.

Hi Phill

Your data has been converted into two SimplyPats (.PAT) files and I have emailed these to you.

The first file contains all of the appliance information for each asset in the database. No test results are shown in this file.

The second file contains all of the appliance information and the latest test results for all of the assets in the database that have been tested. There are 200 assets in your database with no test results associated with them and these assets do not appear in this file.

Kind regards
Lorna Walsh
