Hi, I sent an email informing you that antispyware was picking up the product as a trojan, and to ask where to download the latest beta to test.Did you ever get it?.

Hi Andy

Thanks for letting us know and I’m sorry you’ve not received our reply.

This happens from time to time when Anti-Virus companies release updates but it is a false positive. If you can let us know which anti-virus software it is then we will contact them.

The link below will take you to a thread which documents the process we went through with AVG:

http://www.simplypats.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=92

We will keep this thread updated with the progress made.

I shall get back to you about a Beta copy as we are still in the process of adding new features.

Regards,
Lorna

Thanks Lorna,

It was SUPERAntiSpyware a popular program that flagged the false positive.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Andy

We’ve run scans using the latest release of SUPERAntiSpyware (SAS) and SimplyPats has not been flagged up as a threat.

There appears to have been a problem with an anti-spyware definitions update released in August which resulted in multiple false positives but this bug was fixed in the latest SAS update.

This link will take you to their forum thread discussing the issue of multiple false positives:

http://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php?/topic/7052-trojanagentgen-kryptik/

If possible could you update your SUPERAntiSpyware then run it again. If SimplyPats is still being detected as a threat on your machine you can click a button to report the false positive which will provide them with all of the technical info they will need. Also let me know and I will try to contact them.

The latest SAS update was released 12/09/12 and can be accessed by clicking UPDATE NOW from the SAS main screen. Further information can be found on their website:

http://www.superantispyware.com/definitions.html

Regards,
Lorna
