Post Release Overview

Upload data to Megger 400 series of PAT Testers

SimplyPats Version 6.0.6 (released June 2012) will now give users the option to upload data back to their Megger PAT 410, 420 or 450, however there are a few prerequisites before this feature can be used.

The upload to the Megger 400 series PAT Testers clears all of the information that is stored in the PAT (apart from the test codes) and replaces it with the information that you have chosen to upload from SimplyPats.

This means that if you have multiple clients and locations on the PAT they will all be cleared and replaced with the Customer and Site/Location information that is being uploaded from your SimplyPats file.

Because of the data structure of SimplyPats we can only upload one customer at a time.

You must have an existing download from the Megger PAT 410, 420 or 450 PAT using the Backup to USB option before you are able to upload any data back to the PAT Tester. This will ensure that SimplyPats has a record of the Group Codes (Test Codes) and can then attach these codes to any data you want to upload.

Please note that the actual Test Results recorded in the SimplyPats Data file that you are uploading from are NOT uploaded back to the PAT Tester, we can see no logical reason to upload this information.

Other information NOT uploaded includes Notes, Fail Results and User.

For full upload instructions, please refer to the SimplyPats Help File within the software itself, this is available from the File Menu by clicking Help and choosing Contents. Use the menu on the left to select Uploading to Your PAT and click on the Uploading to The Megger PAT410, 420, 450 option further down the page.
