I am a volunteer for a local charity and have 2 robin testers that are a breeze to use but am having trouble with software for them. I have bought a Pat 4 DVF and want to test multiple items for sale in our shops. All I need is an ID and test results. The items will be sold and probably never seen again so I do not need serial no. location etc. How do I do this?

Hi ourponds,

If you are only testing a few appliances at a time you may want to use a manual entry system which requires you to enter the appliance and test information by hand. This is more time consuming but is the cheapest option.

You can either do this using a logbook, spreadsheet or PAT software. You will also need to produce/purchase labels.

See our thread on PAT labels: http://www.simplypats.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=217

The cost of our Manual Entry Edition is currently £85 (including VAT).

If you would prefer to download the test results from your PAT you will need to purchase software to do this that is compatible with your Megger PAT 4 DVF.

Our full downloading SimplyPats currently costs £349 (inc VAT, delivery and free USB-Serial converter) and is fully compatible with your tester.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Lorna
