We were made aware that sometimes SimplyPats was not downloading all of the data or the data was corrupted from the PT300/350 at the higher baud rates.

If you are using an older PC/Laptop with a slow processor and have chosen a fast baud rate you may find that either errors are generated during the download process or not all of your results will be downloaded.

This is because slower PC/Laptops cannot keep up with the rate the data is being transmitted especially if there are multiple applications open at the same time. Streaming video’s or radio, listening to music or running anti-virus updates and scans will all affect the amount of processing power available to SimplyPats.

Lowering the baud rate and closing all other applications except SimplyPats should solve the problem.

We have however made some changes to fix the problem which are available in the 6.0.5 update. If you are already running V6.0.5 please run the update again to receive this bug fix.

V6.0.5 update: http://www.simplypats.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=561

To test the changes made we downloaded 1000 test to a netbook using an Intel 800MHz Celeron processor (very slow) at the highest baud rate and there were no problems during the download process.

Regards,
Lorna
