I have just acquired the above:
I have gone into the boot update menu using start and 'U' with the intention of updating the firmware etc
My PC shows that I am paired with the PT300
But I can not find a copy of the Seaward Bluetooth Downloader anywhere on their site.
Now I cannot escape the update boot menu?
even if turned off then on again or batteries removed!
It just keeps starting up in the boot menu??
I therefore need to get this Bluetooth downloader software or find a soft key combination to escape me from the boot menu?
Any thoughts please??
Regards

Hi Tiasc

I cant help you as am not familiar with upgrading the firmware on the Seaward 300. However it may be worth posting the same question in the Seaward support forum, or if you are a facebook user the Pat Testing Group on facebook which has alot of Seaward users including distributors etc.

Hopefully someone there will be able to help you get sorted.

HI Tiasc

Just done a bit of research to see if I could find the bluetooth downloader but without success, however reading the pdf that comes with the firmware update it says to press the ESC key on the tester once the firmware has been upload. then switch of and on the primetest.

Have you tried pressing ESC on the PT300 to get you out of the boot menu you are currently stuck in?

Thanks for the reply.
And yes to the esc on off etc..
I have now tried it on several different computer but only have 2 dongles.
On all it pairs but does not get the full connection.
That said it connects on an ipad without issue BUT ipad is not suitable for the firmware document......grr
I am starting to think it may be to do with the actual Bluetooth adapter in the laptops and the dongles not being fully compatible?? Just odd that they show up on the devices list for the tester but the tester does not fully link...
It is getting ever closer to the big black bin bag...
