ImageImageThis Charger felt very light in the hand and made my volt stick light up. Thoughts?

The intended output of the Charger as per the writing on it's side is ~5v, as is that of most mobile phone chargers. I have yet to notice a Charger that sets off my stick that is rated 100v to 600v AC.

OK, I think my understanding has a hole in it. Why do some 5v DC chargers set off my Megger VF2 100-600v AC indicator pen and others not? Since the pen is for AC I'll not use it where I suspect DC anymore. I am however curious to the reason behind this. Any thoughts?
