Isn't the point to point test testing the continuity between the metal of a fixed appliance e.g. hand drier, and the earth connection of the fcu, or as shown in some pictures the screws of the faceplate of the fcu?

I tried looking this up in the COP 4th Edition however maybe im getting old /stupid, or the contents section of the COP aren't very clear.

If you had a plug wired with an earth probe / crocodile clip could you do a continuity test between that probe and the earth crocodile clip of the pat tester doing a normal continuity test?

Am i just totally nuts?
